I will stamp all over 'serious combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex two-time unified title holder Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge disparity - at Miami arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I'm going to injure his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Exchange

Despite such comments, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather attacked ex Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK opponent Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's biggest financial successes, frequently receiving huge paydays.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and claimed he would prevent the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.

Physical Disparity

As Joshua and Paul participated in the customary confrontation, with their height and weight contrast evident, it highlighted just how improbable this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is actually proceeding.
